My Take
What draws me to Alexander Dreymon is how completely he disappeared into Uhtred of Bebbanburg across The Last Kingdom's long run. Born in Germany under the name Doetsch, he has the kind of rooted, unhurried presence that television rewards over time. I admire actors who let the work speak rather than the press cycle, and his earlier turns in Christopher and His Kind and American Horror Story show a willingness to take stranger, riskier roles. He reads to me as a craftsman, not a celebrity. I'm curious where a performer this disciplined heads next, and I suspect his best, most surprising work is still ahead of him.
