My Take
Ali Karimi is the kind of footballer I love watching in memory. A playmaker out of Karaj who scored 38 goals in 127 games for Iran, he carried creativity through leagues in Iran, Germany, Qatar and the UAE, which tells me his vision traveled well across very different styles. What deepens my respect is the second act: turning to coaching and philanthropy after retirement. I am drawn to athletes who treat their fame as something to give back rather than merely enjoy. Karimi reads to me as a complete sportsman, gifted on the ball and conscious of the world beyond it.
