Alison Doody

Alison Doody represents the kind of striking, intelligent screen presence I always find compelling. Debuting as a Bond girl at just nineteen and then sealing her legacy as Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, she balanced glamour with genuine menace. What impresses me is how she made the femme fatale feel layered rather than decorative. Her Irish background gives her a particular blend of charm and shadow that suited those roles perfectly. I'd love to see her work more widely celebrated; she had the kind of poise that elevates whatever frame she steps into.
