Andy Fairweather Low

Andy Fairweather Low is the kind of musician I admire most: enormously gifted yet content to serve the song. He fronted Amen Corner as a young Welshman, then spent decades as the trusted sideman to Clapton, Roger Waters, and Bill Wyman. To me that choice says everything about his character. He could write, sing, and play lead, but he chose to be the spine of other people's bands rather than chase his own spotlight. There is a quiet, generous craftsmanship in that, and the best players in the world keep calling him for a reason.
