Asha Parekh

Asha Parekh commands my deepest respect as a living chapter of Indian cinema. Eighty-five-plus films across four decades, starting as a child actor, is a body of work few can rival. The Padma Shri, the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award only confirm her stature. What impresses me most is that she refused to stay a performer alone, moving into directing and producing with real ambition. There's a grace and staying power to a career like hers that I genuinely cherish. She's the kind of lifelong artist I want to applaud wholeheartedly.
