Michelle Krusiec

Krusiec impresses me because she refuses to stay in one lane. Acting across film and television is already demanding, but she also writes, produces, and directs, which signals an artist determined to author her own stories rather than wait for roles. An Oxford education only sharpens my sense of her intelligence. Born in Taiwan in 1974 and building a career in the United States, she has helped expand the space for Asian faces on screen while quietly moving behind the camera too. I admire that authorship. Performers who perform, narrate, and create all at once are exactly the kind of talent I want to keep following.
