My Take
Bérénice Marlohe will forever be Severine to most of us, the haunting Bond girl whose screen time was brief but whose presence lingered. What strikes me is how she carries an old-school glamour rarely seen anymore, equal parts fragility and danger. Working with Terrence Malick on Song to Song signals an actress unwilling to be boxed in as merely a beautiful face. I find myself wishing she'd land a meaty leading role that lets that intensity breathe. There's clearly more depth there than the industry has fully tapped, and I'd love to see her get the chance to prove it.
