My Take
Cara Gee won me over with her performance as Drummer in The Expanse, where she balanced steel and vulnerability inside all that cosmic chaos. A University of Windsor graduate from Calgary, she had already shown real presence in Strange Empire, and Forbes calling her one of the most prominent Indigenous women in entertainment feels entirely earned. Her TVLine Performer of the Week nod confirms a career built on substance rather than flash. I gravitate toward actors who change the temperature of a scene the instant they appear, and Gee is unmistakably one of them.
