My Take
Carol Dweck is one of those rare researchers whose work escaped academia and rewired how ordinary people talk about ability. I admire that her growth-mindset idea is simple enough to teach a child yet rigorous enough to win the field's top honors. What strikes me most is the humility baked into the theory: it insists nobody is finished, that intelligence is a verb, not a noun. In an age obsessed with talent and rankings, that message feels almost subversive. I respect researchers who change classrooms, not just citation counts, and Dweck clearly did both.
