My Take
Chelsea Handler is one of those comedians I respect for never softening her edges. She built a late-night career hosting Chelsea Lately on E! from 2007 to 2014, then pivoted smartly into the streaming era with Chelsea Does and her Chelsea talk show on Netflix. What I admire is that she did it as a woman in a late-night world that was almost entirely male, and she did it loud, unapologetic and on her own terms. The 2022 New Jersey Hall of Fame nod feels fitting for a Livingston native. Born in 1975, she's the rare host who's also a bestselling writer, and that combination keeps her relevant.
