Chiranjeevi

Chiranjeevi is one of those figures whose scale is hard to grasp from outside Indian cinema. The Mega Star nickname sounds like hype until you sit with the fact that he is consistently named among the most influential actors in Telugu film history, and is praised as one of its finest dancers too. What fascinates me is that he did not stop at stardom, he stepped into politics, which is a genuinely different kind of exposure. The Padma Bhushan in 2006 and Padma Vibhushan in 2024 mark a career the state itself felt compelled to honor. I read him as someone who treated fame as a platform for something larger.
