Chung Eui-sun

Chung Eui-sun interests me as a rare second-generation leader who chose reinvention over preservation. Born in 1970 and educated at Korea University, he inherited a place at the top of Hyundai Motor Group, yet he steered the company hard toward electric vehicles and robotics rather than coasting on his father's legacy. Anyone can guard an inheritance; far fewer use it to gamble on a different future. I find that willingness to risk a strong brand on transformation genuinely admirable. He could have simply protected what he was handed, and instead he is trying to define an era of his own.
