My Take

Freja Beha Erichsen fascinates me because she refuses to perform prettiness. The "Queen of Cool" tag fits: there's an androgynous, unbothered gravity to her that reads as confidence rather than affectation. Becoming one of Karl Lagerfeld's muses says everything about the rarity of that quality. I'm drawn to models who bring a point of view rather than a blank surface, and she clearly has one, tattoos and all, worn like personal punctuation. There's a clean, Scandinavian austerity to her aesthetic that I find more compelling than conventional glamour. She turned restraint into a signature, and that's harder than it looks.
