Chung Hyeon

What I admire most about Chung Hyeon is how he rewrote expectations. Standing 188 cm tall and built around that fearless backhand, he became the first Korean to reach a Grand Slam semifinal at the 2018 Australian Open, doing it as an unseeded player. To me that run mattered beyond the result; it cracked open a door for an entire region's tennis ambitions. Injuries blunted his momentum afterward, which I find genuinely poignant, but his composure on court and his quiet, bespectacled focus left a lasting impression. I rate him as a trailblazer whose ceiling we never fully got to see.
