Daisy Edgar-Jones

Daisy Edgar-Jones is one of those actors who comes along and makes you feel like you discovered someone special before the rest of the world caught up. Her turn as Marianne in Normal People (2020) was genuinely stunning — she brought this quiet, almost aching intensity to the role that stuck with you long after the credits rolled, and the BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations she picked up were absolutely earned. Born in London in 1998, she's still in her twenties and already has range that a lot of actors twice her age can't touch. Fresh, Where the Crawdads Sing, Twisters — she keeps picking projects across completely different genres and landing every time. I'm the kind of fan who's already smug about having watched Normal People back when it first dropped, because I knew then this was someone worth keeping your eye on.
