My Take
Clancy's arc fascinates me more than most. Here's a Duke-trained computer scientist who steered Google Book Search and helped build Nextdoor, then moved to Twitch, becoming its president in 2019 and its CEO in 2023, while streaming on the platform himself. That kind of reinvention, pairing executive leadership with the exposed vulnerability of performing online, takes real nerve. I respect people who refuse to let a resume calcify into an identity. The man spent decades shaping how we access knowledge from behind the scenes, and now he runs one of the biggest live-streaming platforms while connecting with people directly. To me that's not a midlife detour but proof that curiosity outlasts any single career chapter.
