My Take

Harris is genuine horror royalty, and I mean that with affection. As a kid in Halloween 4 she delivered one of the best child performances the genre has ever seen, that final shot of her in the clown costume is the stuff of nightmares in the best way. What I respect is that she grew up inside horror and chose to stay, becoming a beloved fixture at conventions, returning for Rob Zombie's films and the gleefully gory Hatchet movies, and even stepping behind the camera to direct. She clearly loves the community as much as the fans love her. A career built on loyalty to the genre.

Overview

Danielle Harris is an American actress and film director, widely recognized as a scream queen of the horror genre. She rose to prominence as a child star playing Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 in the late 1980s, and later appeared in Rob Zombie's Halloween remakes and the Hatchet franchise. She has also worked extensively in television and provided voice work, and has directed feature films.
