My Take

O'Bryant is the sort of journeyman I find quietly compelling. A 206 cm big man out of small-town Cleveland, Mississippi, he came up through LSU and has since carried his game abroad, currently competing in the Korean Basketball League. There is a particular romance to careers like his, moving from the American South to leagues around the world on the strength of one skill. It is not the glittering star path, but I admire players who keep proving themselves wherever they land. That frame must be imposing in person, and I will be rooting for him from a distance.
