David Boreanaz

I'll be honest — I came to David Boreanaz through Buffy the Vampire Slayer, expecting a pretty face with limited range, and he completely won me over. Playing Angel, this brooding vampire with a soul, he managed to carry emotional weight that the role absolutely demanded, and then he turned around and anchored that spin-off for five seasons on his own. But what really cemented my respect was Bones — twelve seasons as FBI Agent Seeley Booth, holding a procedural together with genuine charm and real chemistry with Emily Deschanel. Very few TV actors can anchor two long-running shows across different genres and make both feel lived-in. He also won a Saturn Award for his television work, which feels right.
