My Take
Dinesh Hingoo embodies what I love about the great character actor. Across more than 300 Hindi films, he never needed the lead role to be unforgettable; his signature laugh and his impersonations, especially of a Parsi businessman, could light up a scene in seconds. Starting as a stand-up comedian in orchestras clearly sharpened that timing. I have a soft spot for performers like him, the ones who give a story its warmth and texture from the margins. To me, being the face audiences instantly recognize is worth more than any trophy.
