My Take

Doug Bradley is horror royalty in my book, the man who gave Pinhead his chilling, almost philosophical menace across the Hellraiser series. Born in Liverpool in 1954, he turned what could have been a one-note monster into something articulate and strangely seductive; that measured voice is half the terror. I love that he came from a theatre background, because it shows in how he treats Pinhead as a character rather than a costume. Few actors become so inseparable from a genre icon. For me he sits comfortably alongside the great horror performers, and his Cenobite leader still gives me chills.
