My Take
What impresses me about Erin Moriarty is how she made Starlight the moral compass of a show built on cynicism. The Boys works because her idealism feels earned rather than naive, and I credit the gritty apprenticeship she served on True Detective and Jessica Jones for that. Her indie film work, especially Captain Fantastic, showed an instinct for understatement that most actors her age lack. I find her most compelling when a role asks her to keep believing in something while the world gives her every reason not to. That tension is her signature, and I suspect her best parts are still ahead.
