Esom

Esom is the kind of actress I find myself rooting for. She came from modeling, yet on screen she carries a lived-in warmth that never feels manufactured. Her 2021 Blue Dragon win for Best Supporting Actress says a lot to me: supporting awards go to performers who sharpen a film without stealing it, and that generosity is a real skill. Rather than being consumed by tabloid noise, she seems to build her reputation slowly through the work itself. I value that patience, and I expect Esom to keep deepening into one of Korean cinema's most quietly reliable talents.
