Frankie Adams earned my respect the moment Bobbie Draper walked on screen in The Expanse. Standing 180 centimeters tall with a genuine boxing background, she gives physical authority to a Martian marine that no amount of CGI could fake, yet her best scenes are the quiet ones where pride and doubt fight behind her eyes. Coming up through Shortland Street gave her craft; her Samoan New Zealand heritage gives her a presence Hollywood still underuses.
