My Take
Heinz-Harald Frentzen is one of those drivers who I genuinely believe deserved more than history gave him. He was supremely talented — smooth, precise, and wickedly fast on his day — but he spent much of his career racing in the enormous shadow of his fellow German Michael Schumacher, which is honestly one of the worst cards fate could deal you. His 1997 season with Williams was a masterclass: he finished runner-up in the championship and at moments looked like he could actually take it. The three Grand Prix wins across his decade in Formula One feel like a fraction of what he was capable of. He never quite got the perfect machinery at the perfect moment, and that's the heartbreaking thing about motorsport — talent alone doesn't write the story. A craftsman in cockpit who deserved a proper title shot.
