My Take

Jang Ye-eun, known as Yeeun, is an idol I quietly respect for having more than one card to play. As the main rapper of the girl group CLC, a graduate of Seoul's School of Performing Arts, she's a singer, rapper and songwriter, and she even co-hosted SBS MTV's The Show for over a year alongside NCT Dream's Jeno. What I value is that she writes and composes, which is the kind of skill that lets an artist outlast the brutally short idol shelf life. Refusing to coast on image and actually competing through music is a posture I'll always cheer for from the sidelines.
