JAY B

I genuinely think JAY B is one of the most underrated leaders in K-pop — like, Got7 built a fiercely loyal international fanbase almost entirely on the strength of their live performances and the members' sheer charisma, and he was the quiet anchor holding it all together. What really gets me is the range: he debuted as an actor on Dream High 2 back in 2012, then pivoted into leading Got7, and somewhere in between he carved out this moody, introspective R&B lane as Def. under his Offshore project that felt completely separate from the idol machine. Konkuk University educated, self-directed, and deliberately private — he always struck me as someone who lets the work speak for itself, which in an industry built on parasocial oversharing is honestly kind of refreshing.
