My Take
Krebs represents the quiet, deep-rooted scientist I have a soft spot for. A lifetime studying the behavioural ecology of birds may sound narrow, but the recognition tells the real story: Fellow of the Royal Society, the Linnean Society's Bicentenary Medal, the Croonian Lecture.
