My Take
Jon Bernthal is, to my mind, the rare actor who makes violence feel like grief. Off screen he comes across as thoughtful, almost gentle, which makes the menace he summons on camera all the more impressive as craft rather than persona. I find myself watching projects I would otherwise skip simply because his name is attached, and that is the truest compliment I can pay a working character actor.
