My Take
Jubin Nautiyal won me over purely on the strength of his voice. His IIFA-winning playback for "Raataan Lambiyan" from Shershaah is the kind of soaring, aching delivery that defines a film's emotional peaks. What I appreciate is the trajectory: a young man from Dehradun who studied in Mumbai and climbed through early-talent awards into the heart of Bollywood playback. I have a real soft spot for India's playback tradition, where a singer carries the on-screen actor's feelings entirely through sound. It's a generous, almost selfless craft, and he does it beautifully.
