Juliet Rylance

Juliet Rylance carries a serious theatrical lineage, daughter of composer Claire van Kampen and stepdaughter of Mark Rylance, but she has never coasted on it. Her work in The Knick, McMafia and Perry Mason shows an actress drawn to dense, prestige material rather than easy fame. As both performer and producer, she clearly wants a hand in shaping the projects she joins, which I respect. She feels like a connoisseur's actress, the kind who builds trust through restraint and quietly accumulates a body of work that lasts. I expect her career to age extremely well.
