My Take

Kay Kay Menon is, to my eye, an actor who wins through depth rather than flash. Coming from Kerala and moving fluidly across Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi and Telugu cinema, he has built a body of weighty work, Black Friday, Sarkar, the Shakespearean Haider, that rewards viewers who care about craft over celebrity.
