Kay Parker

Kay Parker is a figure I find genuinely fascinating because of her trajectory rather than any single role. Born in Birmingham, she reached the top of adult film, earning Hall of Fame recognition, then walked away to become a metaphysical counselor and author. That second act interests me far more than the first. Her memoir suggests a person determined to make sense of her own life rather than be defined by others' assumptions. I appreciate people who refuse to be reduced to a label, and her later search for meaning gives her story a depth that surface judgments completely miss.
