Keito Tsuna

Keito Tsuna was born on Christmas Eve in 1998 in Funabashi, a large commuter city in Chiba Prefecture that sits close enough to Tokyo that nobody living there considers it the provinces. He studied at Nihon University, one of the biggest universities in the country. He is 175 centimeters tall, he acts, and he is signed to Watanabe Entertainment, a long-established Japanese talent agency. In 2017, while at Nihon University, he became the first contestant ever to win the Junon Super Boy Contest after coming back through the repechage round, and he has since played Ryusoul Blue in Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger and a member of the fictional idol group in I Will Be Your Bloom. Japanese acting careers are built almost entirely through television serials, which run for one short season and then vanish, and recognition tends to arrive all at once rather than accumulate. Tsuna's story is conspicuously unfinished. What he does have is a foothold in the part of the business that matters at this stage: active Instagram and X accounts, which in Japan function less as promotion than as the place a younger performer's audience actually gathers and decides whether to stay. Building that following is real work, and it is measurable long before a signature role is. So I am not going to pretend to a verdict. I have a birthday that is easy to remember, a name short enough to stick, and a career that is still being written. What I am waiting for is the one production that makes people say "that guy, from that show" - and I suspect it is coming.
