Kim Hee-ae

Kim Hee-ae is, to me, proof that an actress can deepen rather than fade with time. Born on Jeju, she built a long career, but it was The World of the Married in 2020 that showed a global audience what Korean fans long knew: she can carry rage, vulnerability, and seductive control all at once. What I respect most is her refusal to drift into safe supporting roles in her fifties; instead she detonated in a lead. Beauty gets the headlines, but for me it's that staying power, the will to remain genuinely central, that makes her remarkable.
