What strikes me about Laura Barjum is the trajectory rather than the crown itself. Being Miss Colombia 2017 and finishing first runner-up at Miss Universe is impressive, but plenty of pageant winners fade. She kept moving, into acting and YouTube, building a voice on her own terms.
