My Take
What impresses me most about Leigh Taylor-Young is her sheer staying power. It is one thing to surface in landmark films like Soylent Green in the late sixties and early seventies, and quite another to still be earning an Emmy decades later on Picket Fences. That kind of longevity is rarely about flash; it is about craft, reliability, and the ability to disappear into a role. Her Northwestern training and quiet, grounded presence make sense to me. I have a soft spot for performers who keep getting the call year after year, because in this business that steadiness is its own form of quiet greatness.
