My Take
Lil'Jordan Humphrey is the kind of athlete I instinctively root for. Out of Southlake, Texas, he starred at receiver for the Texas Longhorns, then went undrafted in 2019 and clawed his way through the Saints, Patriots, Giants, and Broncos. Surviving in the NFL as an undrafted free agent, bouncing between rosters while continually re-earning your spot, takes a relentlessness that drafted prospects never have to prove. I respect grinders over blue-chip prospects every time. To me he embodies that Texas grit, a player who refuses to let the league forget him, and that persistence is far more compelling than easy talent.
