My Take

Luis Castillo is a pitcher I find genuinely exciting. Out of Baní in the Dominican Republic, he turned big velocity into real command, debuting with Cincinnati before becoming a frontline arm for Seattle and earning three All-Star nods. I have always been drawn to power pitchers, and there is a fearlessness to his work on the mound that feels rooted in the country that produces so many of the game's greats. Crossing oceans to anchor a Major League rotation is its own kind of story. I am rooting for many more strong seasons from him.
