Marie-Louise Eta

Marie-Louise Eta is, for me, one of the most quietly historic figures here. Born in 1991 in Dresden, she played midfield for Turbine Potsdam and Werder Bremen before moving into coaching. Then came the milestone: serving as interim head coach of Bundesliga side Union Berlin, becoming the first and only woman to lead a men's team in Europe's top five leagues. That is a genuine glass-ceiling moment, and I do not say that lightly. I admire pioneers who let their competence, not their novelty, do the talking. Her trajectory deserves far more attention than it gets.
