My Take
Mary Lynn Rajskub will always be Chloe O'Brian to me, and that is high praise. She took an awkward, prickly analyst and made her the emotional anchor of 24, never once softening her to be likeable. That refusal to pander, perhaps a bit of Detroit grit, gives her a rare honesty. Her comedy roots show in her impeccable timing, and her gleeful turn as Gail the Snail proves she can swing wildly between drama and farce. As a writer too, she clearly understands character from the inside, and I admire that.
