My Take

What I respect most about Mehdi Hasan is his refusal to disappear. When MSNBC cancelled his show, he didn't fade into the lecture circuit; he built Zeteo and made his own platform. That instinct tells you everything. His debating style, all rapid-fire receipts and forensic pressure, divides people, but you cannot accuse him of being lazy or unprepared. The Oxford rigor shows in every cross-examination. I find his confidence almost provocative, and that's exactly why he lands. A book literally titled Win Every Argument is peak Hasan: unapologetic, combative, and convinced he's right. Love him or not, he refuses to be ignored.

Mehdi Raza Hasan (born 10 July 1979) is a British-American broadcaster, journalist, and founder of the media company Zeteo. He presented The Mehdi Hasan Show on Peacock from October 2020 and on MSNBC from February 2021 until the show's cancellation in November 2023. A graduate of Christ Church, Oxford, Hasan began his television career as a researcher and then producer on ITV's Jonathan Dimbleby programme.
