My Take
What I admire about Michael Dell isn't the staggering net worth headlines, it's the elegant simplicity of his original insight. Building computers in a college dorm and selling them direct to customers sounds obvious now, but in the 1980s it quietly dismantled an entire distribution model. He turned a Texas student's side hustle into critical global infrastructure through sheer operational discipline rather than flash. To me he represents a particular kind of American entrepreneur: pragmatic, relentless, allergic to waste. The flashier founders get the documentaries, but Dell's patient mastery of logistics and supply chains is, in its own unglamorous way, deeply impressive.
