My Take
Michael Jelenic is a creator any animation fan should appreciate. With Aaron Horvath he co-developed Teen Titans Go!, which has run an astonishing 447 episodes, spun off a feature film, and he even co-directed The Super Mario Bros. Movie. What strikes me is the range packed into one career: animator, storyboard artist, producer, lyricist, director. The deceptively goofy, gag-driven tone of his work hides a craftsman of enormous output and versatility. People rarely credit the writers and producers who keep American TV animation alive, but Jelenic is exactly that kind of engine. I find his behind-the-scenes reach genuinely impressive.
