My Take
Mina is one of those artists whose stature only grows the more you learn about her. A three-octave range, the agility of a true soprano, and an image of female independence that felt radical in mid-century Italy: she was not merely a pop star but a cultural force. What moves me most is her refusal to chase trends, retreating from public performance yet still recording on her own uncompromising terms. The honors she has received feel almost secondary to the sheer durability of her artistry. To me she is proof that a singular voice can outlast every passing fashion.
