Natsumi Matsuoka

Natsumi Matsuoka is one of those idols where the Instagram handle basically does the introduction for her — the "hkt" tucked in there tells you everything you need to know about her roots. HKT48, the Fukuoka sister group of AKB48, has always had this distinct energy compared to the Tokyo acts: louder, sunnier, a little more untamed, and she feels like a product of that environment in the best way. And having served as captain of HKT48's Team H, she clearly earned her place in that world rather than just passing through it.
