Nestor Carbonell

Nestor Carbonell is the kind of actor I always enjoy spotting in a cast. The Harvard-educated New Yorker is probably best known as the unsettling, ageless Richard Alpert on Lost, a role defined partly by those famously striking eyes that fans long assumed were enhanced. His 2024 Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor felt like overdue recognition for a performer who has quietly elevated dramas for decades. He rarely headlines, but he brings a grounded intelligence to supporting work that I find reassuring. A character actor in the best sense, and one I'm always glad to see on screen.
