Otmar Szafnauer

Otmar Szafnauer's story moves me more than most paddock figures. Born in a small Romanian village under communism, he emigrated, became an engineer, and climbed all the way to Team Principal of Alpine in Formula One. That blend of entrepreneur, engineer, and racer gives him a credibility few executives possess in such a technical sport.
