My Take

Paul Huntington is exactly the kind of footballer I find quietly admirable. A 191 cm centre-back out of Carlisle, he was never going to top a highlight reel, yet careers like his are built on the unglamorous work of clearing danger and steadying a back line for years on end. I respect players who grind their way up through unfashionable clubs rather than coasting on early hype. There is a Virgo-ish diligence to that kind of dependable defending. He may not be a household name, but the teammates he protected know exactly what he was worth, and so do I.
