Paulina Andreyeva

Paulina Andreyeva is the kind of multi-hyphenate I find genuinely interesting, because she's not content to stay in one lane. She broke through as an actress in Russian dramas like The Method, then crossed over to a wider audience with Netflix's sci-fi series Better than Us. But what really catches my eye is that she also writes and directs. That instinct to control the whole creative picture, rather than just perform inside someone else's vision, tells me she's building toward authorship. Born in 1988 in Saint Petersburg, she still feels like an artist in motion to me, and I'd watch where her directing goes next.
